Common Name:  Rose Bush

Best Position:  The perfect patio rose! Great planted in the garden or container. Use a complete rose food or general purpose controlled release fertiliser. This can be supplemented by a liquid feed while the plant is actively growing. Best time to feed the plant is around August and February. These roses need free draining, compost-enriched soil and a full sun position to perform at their best. When planting in-ground, build up your garden bed to provide good drainage.

Plant Description:  (Please note our Roses will not be looking their best during June, July and August. August and September is when we cut them back. These can still be purchased.) The Rose bush is a woody perennial of the genus Rosa, within the family Rosaceae. Rose plants range in size from compact, miniature roses, to climbers that can reach 7 meters in height. Different species hybridize easily, and this has been used in the development of the wide range of garden roses. The leaves are borne alternately on the stem. In between the leaves in most of the rose bushs you will find a thorn or prickle.

Flower Description: TheChameleon rose changes colour from yellow, through red and pink, to a pink-edge white.

Best Uses: Great as a cut flower, and to use the flowers as cut flowers indoors.
