Common Name: Kangaroo Paw.

Best Position:  Full sun well drained soil. Will tolerate most soil conditions.

Plant Description: The Anigozanthos is an evergreen perennial. They have mostly lush dark green foliage that can range from thick strappy foliage to very thin straw like leaves, They do not have any direct insect problems, but if the leaves are damaged, snails, slugs or hail can result in them appearing to have black spots on them, this is called Ink Spot Disease, which is a fungal combination of Botrytis and Alternaria. There is no real control for this other than keeping plants actively growing, healthy and do not damage leaves. If this does occur, apply a small amount of native fertiliser to promote new growth, if it is excessive cut the plant back just above the ground and the new growth will not appear to have the Ink Spot Disease.

Flower Description: The tubular form of the flower bud resembles a kangaroo paw, hence its name. The flower tip spreads fanlike into six petals. Full-grown plants can have up to ten flowers at the end of each stalk. The TANGO has bright orange flowers.

Best Uses: Mass plantings, Container Planting, Rockeries or native gardens. Great for cutting & dried flower arrangements.
