Common Name:  Honeypot Dryandra

Best Position: Full sun well drained soil. Will tolerate coastal conditions.

Plant Description:  Banksia nivea is a small shrub with a neat dome shape growth habit. The shrub has attractive arching leaves which have toothlike margins that can be as long as 30cm.

Flower Description: Produces bronzey orange flowers forming a circular inflorescence with a hole in the middle. The hole is thought to allow small animals such as pygmy possums to reach the nectar. The flowers are produced in the centre of the plant.

Best Uses: Grows well in coastal conditions as a low growing shrub.
