Best Position: Full sun or semi shade, requires well draining soil. Excellent for sandy soils.

Plant Description: An evergreen shrubs commonly known as the Geraldton wax, waxplants or wax flowers due to the waxy feel of the petals. The leaves are tiny to medium-sized and arranged oppositely on the stems. They contain oil glands and are aromatic often giving off a pleasant aroma when crushed.

Flower Description: The flowers have five petals with ten stamens. The CHAMELAUCIUM Purple Pride has masses of purple flowers that darken with age followed by hardened fruit.

Best Uses: Ideal to use as a screening plants or as a native shrub in general garden beds. Cut flowers are long lasting and can add extra colour to flower arrangements. Care instructions for cutting wax flowers: You will need a sterilised bucket, mix flower food with luke warm water. With clean, sharp pruning shears, cut stems at a 45 degree angle. Place in the bucket and leave over night to condition them before use.
